A Morning Drive

A Morning Drive

A road before
Dark as the night before
Winding slowly round and round
Slowly slowly, night retreats
And dawn breaks free

The path revealed
Though light veiled
Hope renewed
Mind refreshed

Turn back home
Fears gone again
Strength gained
In a morning drive

Dear Readers,

I wrote this poem after looking at the photo and remembering all the times I just had to get away. Just jump in a car and drive. Not to reach a destination but just be on the journey. It is an easy way to run away from troubles and problems. But trouble always seems to follow when you do that. However, I have discovered that simply driving  for a little bit, with the windows down and the music pumping, can clear the mind and get your perspective back.

Enjoy a drive, enjoy today,

Poetria
