Black Friday

Early rise
Before dawn breaks
They wake
Before the sunrise

Coffee in one hand
Lists in the other
They push and shove
Without concern or care

Under the cover of darkness
They gather in front of stores
They press against the doors
Waiting for managers to come

As the door unlocks
At the appointed hour
They rush in without mercy
They seize what is on display

With rude words
Tossed towards customers
And workers alike
They plow ahead without concern

With impatient attitudes
And rude behaviors
They shop at all the stops
For things they want

Thus does Black Fridays go
The morning after thanks
They demand more things
With less grace
